The Scoop! PDF Tutorial Description

Based loosely on a design in the vintage sewing book "Sew For Toddlers" by Kerstin Martensson, I bring to you the best thing since sliced bread...THE SCOOP!

It is a play-mat that turns into a bag or a bag that turns into a play-mat ;) Just think of all of the possibilities:

You could use it in the play room. A wonderful way to keep all the small pieces/parts of toys together and the perfect way to store them. Just hang it up when done.

Perfect bag to take to the park or play group. All baby's toys are inside and you have a ready made play-mat/blanket.

You can use almost any fabric and they can be made in any size!

This PDF tutorial will be emailed to you within 24 hours of purchase (usually a lot sooner).

This pattern is easy enough for a basic beginner, but it would be helpful for you to have a little knowledge about sewing and running a sewing machine (you will need to know how to do buttonholes). Of course if you have any questions I am just an email away!

The Better Burpie PDF Tutorial Description

As a mother of three under the age of two, I have a lot of experience with burp cloths. We've had our share of the good, the bad and the ugly! When our twins were born we got all kinds of burp cloths. I have based this pattern/tutorial on my favorite of them all. These are the most absorbent, practical and comfortable burp cloths available and so fast and easy to make. A beginner could whip out four of these in a half hour!

They are the perfect gift because frankly...you can NEVER have too many burp cloths!

This tutorial has very easy-to-follow, practical steps with lots of bright color photographs illustrating each step. I'll also share some tips and tricks I've learned through trial and error that will make it even easier.

The Pod Swaddler PDF Pattern Description

Before I say anything else, the best part about this pattern is that it is designed to only take 1 hour (maybe 2 the first time you make it). It is EASY and designed with the beginner in mind. OK now you can read the rest:

When our twin girls were born early, the nurses in the NICU taught me the art of swaddling and all of the advantages to doing it. All of my babies have loved to be swaddled...but I would get frustrated with the blankets either being to bulky or to easy to escape ;). When I was a baby, my mom put me in an Indian cradle board (she actually used this for all six of her children). It is a leather and wood contraption that she could tighten in the front. She said that we were always very content when she put us in this. So with the idea of being able to tie the front, coupled with my love for designer fabrics, the Pod Swaddler was born!

The Benefits of the Pod Swaddler:

* The Pod has been designed to make it easy for you to swaddle your baby.

* One size fits most. You can adjust it depending on the size of your babe

* Stays secure and keeps arms in.

* The Pod won’t hinder development of hips and knees. As baby grows, his/her legs extend beyond the tight portion of the wrap for free movement and joint development.

* Very Simple Design. No confusing folding or latching.

* You can also tie the Pod around your baby allowing arms to be free. This is a great alternative to a blanket as baby can't kick off the covers and stays safe

* Helps your baby sleep comfortably on his/her back.

* Easy to use - even in the dark!

* Easy to wash and use over and over again.

* No Velcro to catch on everything in the dryer, no buttons or snaps - just an easy tie and you are done.

* Fun, unique pattern that allows you to swaddle your baby in any designer fabric of your choice!
